Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated pharmacists who want to be at the cutting edge of Pharmacy services to join our Rotational Clinical Pharmacist Team. You will undertake a varied rotational training programme working as a member of our Clinical Pharmacy Team providing ward-based pharmacy support across the Trust in various clinical specialities and operational services which will provide you with a solid foundation for your future career. As part of the department's commitment to supporting CPD activities, a comprehensive induction and local training programme is provided. Undertaking a well-regarded Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy is also encouraged. Current trainee pharmacists are welcome to apply, previous hospital experience is not essential as extensive training is available. Main duties of the job Our rotational clinical pharmacists provide a high quality, patient-centred service ensuring the safe, effective, legal and accurate use of medicines across the trust. You will be self-motivated and organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will able to work effectively alone and as part of a team. This will include: Providing a safe and efficient clinical pharmacy service to hospital wards anddepartments in accordance with departmental policies and contributing to the development of pharmacy services as required. Providing education and training support for nursing staff and patients and providing pharmaceutical advice to clinicians. Delivering a comprehensive on-call service, to identify and meet the pharmaceutical care needs of patients, 24 hours a day, including bank holidays and weekends.
