Would you like to complete a Business Administration Apprenticeship Level 3 whilst working as a Business Support Apprentice? Are you enthusiastic and keen to learn from a small newly established team? This role will handle a diverse range of tasks and provide the chance to regularly learn something new.
You will get to work collaboratively with senior management across the council and have an opportunity to help solve different problems and drive change which adds value to our Fit for the Future goals.
Duties of the Role
We are looking for an organised and adaptable Business Support Apprentice to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a valuable role in providing comprehensive, efficient, and effective administrative support for the Senior Leadership Support Team and senior managers. You will work flexibly to support the team and benefit from a supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
1. Support and engage with different parts of the organisation and interact with internal or external customers.
2. Contribute to the efficiency of the organisation through support of functional areas, working across teams, and resolving issues as requested.
3. Demonstrate strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and adopt a proactive approach to developing skills.
4. Manage priorities and own time, problem-solving skills, decision-making, and potential for people management responsibilities through mentoring or coaching others.
Qualifications and Skills Required
The ideal candidate will be self-motivating with a good standard of written and verbal communication skills. The role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. A basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite is desirable along with the ability to use/learn to use new systems, applications, and hybrid meeting equipment. You do not need previous experience of working in a similar role as the right attitude and skills are more important, and training and support will be given.
