Responsibilities
1. Develop and design automation solutions, including robotic systems, for the production, test, and assembly of aerospace components and structures.
2. Identify areas for automation within manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance product quality.
3. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with automation systems, providing solutions for repair, reprogramming, or upgrading equipment.
4. Ensure requirement compliance with industry standards and regulations, particularly regarding safety and quality control.
5. Support the NPI team on design for automation, optimizing the best method of manufacturing.
6. Develop an inspection strategy for vision and sensor inspection technology.
7. DFMA, tolerance, design optimization, and value engineering.
Experience Required
1. Robot, external axes, and PLC integration experience of over 3 years.
2. Advanced robot programming language skills such as RAPID.
3. Programming language C++.
4. Force control integration and programming experience.
5. Electrical wiring and robot circuit integration experience.
6. Problem solving and creativity.
7. Managing projects.
Desired Qualifications & Skills
1. Robot programming language such as RAPID.
2. Experience working with Solidworks, TIA Portal, and Robot Studio.
3. Robot studio and automation simulation.
4. PLC programming certification.
5. Assembly and automation simulation.
6. Six Sigma.
