Rocasa Consulting are looking for an Independent Living Advisor to join a large housing association in the Bath area. This position includes providing housing management to customers aged over 55 years old who are living in Sheltered Housing.
Working 30 hours per week (9am-3pm - Monday - Friday).
A driver's licence is essential for this role as travel between three separate sites is necessary.
More about the role:
1. Play a key role in continuously developing the service to meet the needs of tenants.
2. Effectively deliver service improvements.
3. Provide technical assistance to individuals in regards to housing and support.
4. Develop rapport with customers living on site.
5. Support customers day-to-day with tenancy management, ensuring customers fully understand their rights and responsibilities per their tenancy agreements.
6. Assist prospective customers to view properties and answer any questions that may arise.
7. Ensure new customers are settled and happy in their new accommodation.
8. Provide advice/assistance in regard to housing benefit and other financial advice to pay rent/services charges.
9. Complete referrals for assistive technology, aids, and adaptations in order to aid independence.
10. Carry out periodic checks and tests to ensure Health and Safety regulations are met at all times (fire doors, alarms, etc).
About you:
1. Do you have experience working in an advisory role with the elderly or vulnerable adults?
2. Do you have administration experience?
3. Good verbal and written communication skills.
4. Driver's licence with access to your own vehicle.
