Interpreting and Analysing industry, commercial and financial data to contribute to business financial performance.
IN SHORT
The key purpose of the role will be to interpret and analyse industry, commercial and financial data with the overall objective of contributing to business financial performance through the identification and resolution of areas of gross margin leakage.
The role holder will also support the validation and approval of key supplier invoices in addition to monitoring, maintaining and optimising collateral positions with external counterparties.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Conduct analysis and validation of industry invoices.
* Analyse volume data to investigate reasons for under-recoveries and gross margin leakage and liaise with internal departments and external parties to resolve issues.
* Maintain documentation of applicable working processes and to keep a full audit trail of all workings.
* Review and analyse rebills to optimise financial performance and minimise potential losses.
* Provide regular reports for internal departments to identify process gaps or areas of gross margin leakage.
* Lead regular meetings with internal departments to ensure queries are dealt with in an efficient manner.
* Produce regular consumption reports for key customers.
* Monitor and maintain external collateral processes with a view to optimising funding costs where possible.
* Maintain and develop data scripts in SQL to support all gross margin analytics.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Solid experience of using IT, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
Experience of analysing data, preferably large data sets (highly desirable).
* Excellent analytical skills, with high attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
* Confidence to build relationships with other departments as collaboration is a key criteria for success.
* Proactive mindset to put own ideas forward since the team promotes a culture of continuous improvement.
