Materials Coordinator

At Tierney Strachan, we provide process control & safety system engineering services. This includes the provision of new systems as well as support and modifications to existing systems. Our systems are largely based on Emerson’s DeltaV equipment and a range of PLC systems including Allen-Bradley, Schneider, and Siemens. We supply systems for topside production control, subsea control, telemetry, and remote monitoring. Our cabinet and electrical assembly are all carried out in-house to high-quality IPC standards. We have a significant track record of supply to major energy companies.
What you’ll be doing
1. Reporting to the Supply Chain Lead, assisting in the workshop processes.
2. Placing orders on suppliers, expediting materials, and monitoring outstanding orders on a regular basis.
3. Generating and submitting Certificate of Conformance for parts.
4. Responsible for Goods-In process and processing accepted goods following QA inspection.
5. Ensuring appropriate stock levels are controlled.
6. Accountable for all stock movements within the company.
7. Plan and control deliveries - ensuring goods are delivered on time to clients.
8. Kit up parts for manufacturing according to pick lists/Bill of Materials (BOM’s) and resolve discrepancies.
9. Responsible for preparing and packaging items for shipment with associated delivery documentation.
10. Updating bills of material.
11. Ad hoc local collection and delivery of parts.
12. Assist with other department requirements as directed by the manager.
What you need
Candidates must have the following:
* Full driving licence.
* Strong computer literacy with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.
* Awareness of electronic equipment and components beneficial.
* Experience in a similar role.

Salary
Base £30k to £38k depending on experience.
