Do you have previous vendor management experience within logistics operations?
If so, our Wellingborough-based client is recruiting a Logistics Co-ordinator on a permanent basis to join their warehouse operations team.
Responsibilities:
1. Working with customers via email and phone throughout Europe and the UK to coordinate deliveries and collections of goods.
2. Researching various vendor options and selecting the best options based on the customers' needs.
3. Working with vendors to determine a reasonable rate and to coordinate the timing and means of delivery.
4. Handling any issues related to vendor service, such as poor product quality or delivery delays.
5. Finding solutions to budget limitations, vendor errors, and other problems as they arise.
6. Keeping an accurate record of jobs on hand.
7. Tracking orders from placement through to delivery.
8. Ensuring customer satisfaction is maintained.
9. Providing import compliance for HMRC administrative support.
10. Providing support to other areas of the business when required.
As well as having excellent communication skills, this role requires the individual to possess good planning and organisation skills. You will be working with the whole Microsoft package, therefore having intermediate IT skills/knowledge is essential, particularly in Excel. Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems is also required.
