Job Summary
To effectively support the Warehouse Manager with the operational activities of the Warehouse, specifically the picking and despatch of all orders and the maintenance of standards in the Warehouse. Work towards the elimination of errors, including 100% picking accuracy and adherence to the company standard of packaging.
Main Duties
1. Flexibility around working hours and days; Saturday cover will be essential and you will be required to take ownership of the Saturday shift on occasion.
2. Pick orders to the highest standards, achieving a minimum of 40 orders per day when required.
3. Ensure all employees maximize their potential and deliver required performance productivity levels in line with KPIs.
4. Review performance with colleagues 1 to 1 at least every 8 weeks.
5. Ensure adherence to company standards, including presentation of staff and environment in terms of general housekeeping and safety.
6. Ensure returns are dealt with within 48 hours.
7. Minimize loose stock in pick faces and ensure it is wrapped at the earliest opportunity to minimize damage.
8. Lead by example.
9. Communicate appropriately across all levels of business, providing timely and professional responses to internal and external customers/partners.
10. Problem solving through root cause analysis and continuous review of processes for efficiency; work with the IT Dept to implement changes and share best practices.
11. Support the manager in managing resources within your team regarding annual leave and sickness.
12. Assist the Manager and HR with basic HR investigations and return to work processes.
13. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, particularly around health and safety.
14. Support with the organization of annual stock checks.
15. Health and Safety compliance, either with MHE experience or willingness to train.
