MERJE is seeking an exceptional Group CFO for a leading insurance company. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to drive financial strategy and growth in a dynamic industry. The Role
As Group CFO, reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Chief Risk Officer, you will spearhead financial operations, develop strategic plans, and drive profitability across the organisation. You will be an Executive Board Member and be responsible for the management of all the Group financial, capital & liquidity and all key strategic finance related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities of the Group CFO:
1. Implement the group’s financial strategy and determine the overall direction of the company.
2. Operational management of the company’s investments and liquidity needs and oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
3. Lead and manage the small Finance Teams across the company and provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board.
4. Responsibility for SIIL’s Solvency II regulatory capital reporting.
5. Stakeholder management; Key relationships with risk & compliance.
6. Drive cost optimisation and efficiency initiatives.
7. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Required knowledge and experience for the Group CFO role:
1. Extensive experience in senior financial leadership roles.
2. Ideally experience as an SMF2 in a PRA Regulated Insurer.
3. 8 Years + experience of Financial Reporting and Management including Regulatory Reporting (Solvency II Capital modelling, ORSA, SFCR and QRTs).
4. In-depth knowledge of the insurance industry ideally general or life insurance market and MGAs.
5. Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
7. Relevant Professional qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
