About the role
We have an opportunity for a Beamline Scientist to join a highly motivated team working on the world leading I11 X-ray Powder Diffraction beamlinefor a 12-month fixed term contract.
You will be working with the Beamline Science and Technical teams to provide scientific and technical support to beamline users.
Your key duties will include:
Participating in the planning and preparation for user experiments and acting as a local contact.
Optimisation and calibration of the beamline.
Setting up and installation of sample environments for different experiments
Provision of technical and operational support
Basic scripting, during user visits.
