An exciting opportunity has arisen for registered Social Workers to work within the North Somerset Single Point of Access (SPA) Team. Various hours are currently available up to full time.
The SPA service provides a fast-paced response to adult social care referrals at the first point of contact. The team is recognised as critical in the delivery of effective, time-sensitive interventions to the residents of North Somerset. Our proactive approach to intervention via telephone triage and assessment, in addition to community-based assessment clinics, offers a varied and challenging working environment for practitioners wishing to develop their strengths-based and proportionate approach to intervention.
Working largely remotely, the role supports a great work-life balance for staff. There are regular opportunities to engage with colleagues, attend face-to-face meetings, and support Community Based assessment clinics. We are currently developing our strengths-based, proportionate approach to assessment alongside Occupational Therapy colleagues, to actively enable choice and independence for residents.
This position is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. A valid driving licence and own transport, or the ability to provide an alternative, suitable method of travel, is an essential condition for this role.
