Job Opportunity: Project Manager (Inside IR35)
Location: (Minimum 4 days on-site per week in Egham, including occasional night shifts)
Duration: Minimum 12 months
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a high-profile Security Transformation Programme in Egham. This role requires a skilled professional with a strong background in delivering large-scale IT infrastructure projects, particularly within information communication systems and telecommunications.
About the Role:
As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in leading complex design projects, ensuring successful delivery in line with time, budget, and quality expectations. You will collaborate closely with clients, manage project lifecycles, and oversee the design and installation of passive IT infrastructure, including networks, terminals, displays, access control systems, and CCTV.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide project leadership on high-value IT infrastructure projects.
2. Work closely with clients and stakeholders to protect and achieve commercial objectives.
3. Ensure projects align with revenue, profit, and cash-flow expectations.
4. Lead bid preparation and oversee resource planning for bids and projects.
5. Develop and maintain strong client relationships to support project success and potential expansion.
6. Drive compliance with Business Management, Health & Safety, and Quality procedures.
7. Stay updated on current design and regulatory standards.
Skills & Experience Required:
1. Extensive project management experience in IT infrastructure and telecommunications.
2. Strong technical background in information communication systems (ICS).
3. Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and large-scale projects.
4. Familiarity with Heathrow, its contractors, and third parties is advantageous.
5. In-depth knowledge of design procedures, change control, and quality review processes.
6. APMP or PRINCE2 qualification preferred.
7. H&S qualifications (CDM, APS, or IOSH) desirable.
8. CSCS certification (or equivalent) required.
9. Experience with NEC4 contracts preferred.
Qualifications:
1. Degree or HNC in a relevant Engineering Discipline (preferred).
2. Chartered status or working towards it (desirable).
