Cook Team Leader – Lead a High-Performing Production Team
The Role
As a Cook Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading, managing, and motivating a team in a fast-paced food production environment. Working alongside the Production Manager and an existing Cook Team Lead, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring production targets are met efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with team-leading experience in food production who enjoys working in a structured environment and driving performance.

Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate the Cook and Prep teams, ensuring smooth workflow.
* Plan and assign daily tasks, holding team briefings to set expectations.
* Ensure production targets are met while maintaining quality and efficiency.
* Monitor and maintain HACCP/SALSA compliance, signing off necessary paperwork.
* Manage stock levels and support batch production planning.
* Oversee staff scheduling and contribute to performance management.
* Use Microsoft Office (especially Excel) for tracking and reporting. Training can be provided.
* Act as a problem solver, ensuring any production issues are resolved quickly.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in leading teams in a food production setting.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills to oversee workflow.
* Confidence in using Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
* A hands-on, proactive approach to daily operations.
* Training in Food Hygiene, HACCP, COSHH, or Health & Safety.
* 3+ years of food manufacturing experience.
Shift Patterns & Work-Life Balance
* Facility operates 5:30 AM – 11 PM, 7 days a week.
