Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team in managing the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in handling materials.
Responsibilities
1. Load and unload cargo vans with incoming and outgoing materials.
2. Utilise mechanical knowledge to assemble, build, or disassemble products as needed.
3. Operate forklifts to move materials within the warehouse.
4. Manage shipping and receiving documentation accurately.
5. Perform heavy lifting tasks when required.
6. Handle materials with care to prevent damage.
7. Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory and shipments.
8. Pick customer orders from list, stage order and prepare for shipment ensuring cartons are stacked to prevent damage.
9. Prepare and print barcode labels using RF scanner to accurately document the shipment.
10. Prepare debit memos and bills of lading manually for outgoing shipments when required.
11. Load and unload trucks as needed using a sit-down forklift.
12. Receive goods, raw material, and work in process; inspect and verify receipt as to contents, quantity, and condition.
13. Move parts from audit to finished goods rack. Weigh and tag raw material at incoming and move to material racks.
14. Stage raw material for production as needed.
15. Package by weight any returning product from subcontractors that was shipped and received in bulk packaging.
16. Ensure adherence to all Environmental Health and Safety rules and procedures, including housekeeping and proper operation of tools and equipment.
17. Perform specific assignments as instructed by supervisor.

1. Prior experience using weight scale and printout.
2. Basic reasoning skills and language skills (ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business paperwork).

4. Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.
5. Proficient with MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and use of a PC.

Education and Experience
High school education preferred but not absolutely necessary. 2-4 years office experience, with 1 year emphasis in assigned area of responsibility. Experience must include a computerized system. Must have computer experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve problems involving several concrete and abstract variables. Great attention to detail and accuracy necessary.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or touch tools, equipment, and/or controls. The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay: £36,000.00-£39,000.00 per year
