Job summary This exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and highly skilled midwife to join our Delivery Suite leadership team. The candidate will have daily responsibility for supporting and managing a clinical team and will include operational and leadership skills when coordinating Delivery Suite. As a Co-ordinator you will be responsible for the day to day co-ordination of the activity on the Delivery Suite, triage service and the Acorn Suite (low risk unit), along with being involved with service development in the intrapartum areas Main duties of the job Main duties: To take responsibility for the provision of sound clinical, educational and managerial leadership to a team of midwives and support staff within Delivery suite and Acorn Suite, and inpatient areas out of hours. To provide care, support innovative and up to date advice to women and their families throughout their pregnancy, in accordance with the Midwives rules and standards. Support the Head of Midwifery, Matrons - Clinical Midwifery Manager/Matron in the execution of their role. Demonstrate and promote excellent interpersonal skills promoting quality written, verbal and nonverbal communication styles. Maintain a positive working environment through culture of compassion and kindness. Be able to undertake shift work to include nights and weekends.
