Corporate / Commercial Solicitor - Exeter
Excellent opportunity to join a strong regional South West law firm within their impressive Company and Commercial team.
With offices across Somerset and Devon, they attract a wide variety of company and commercial work from a number of sources.
The firm acts for a number of businesses, farmers, landowners, and private clients who all require company and commercial assistance. In addition, they receive a number of referrals from accountants, agents, and other referrers due to the strong relationships they have with other local businesses and the local community.
The work comprises non-contentious corporate and commercial matters, acting for SMEs, partnerships, and sole traders, in the following areas:
1. Business sales and purchases - acting for both sellers and buyers in relation to share transactions and asset transactions.
2. Advising on and drafting Shareholders Agreements.
3. Drafting and amending Articles of Association.
4. Incorporation of companies.
5. Advising on Partnerships and LLPs including drafting or amending partnership agreements, especially farming partnership agreements.
6. Advising on and drafting commercial contracts and standard terms and conditions.
7. Advising on management buyouts and company restructuring.
8. Dealing with any venture capital, private equity investments, and other forms of financing.
The successful candidate will be between an NQ and 5 years post-qualification experience. Ideally, the candidate will have strong links with the South West.
The role offered provides a real opportunity for a fast track to promotion within the growing company and commercial team.
Involvement in the firm's marketing and business development plan, and attending networking and social events, is an important part of the job.
