We are thrilled to invite applications from experienced candidates to join our team at Swift Referrals as a Surgical Animal Care Assistant.
As a surgical animal care assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our veterinary team to ensure the well-being and comfort of our patients. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with veterinarians and veterinary nurses, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities
In this exciting and varied role, you will be responsible for preparing kits for surgery and maintaining the cleanliness of theatres and the practice, ensuring high standards throughout. You will assist in surgical procedures and work closely with clinicians and nurses to provide the highest level of individualised patient care. Additionally, you’ll ensure the hospitalisation facilities and equipment are cleaned and properly maintained. As a proactive and reliable team member, you will also support the wider team in delivering exceptional care.
Role requirements
* A strong team player with confident and effective communication skills.
* Self-motivated and happy handling animals under supervision.
* Accuracy in following instructions and maintaining records.
* Eagerness to learn new tasks and adapt to new challenges.
Working Pattern
This is a full-time position consisting of 40 hours per week, split over 5 days.
