Reed Accountancy are seeking an immediately available Accounts Assistant, to join our industry leading client's expanding team on a Permanent basis. This role sits within a friendly, high performing team and training can be provided to bring you up to speed if required. A good understanding of Excel packages is essential to be able to hit the ground running. Day-to-day of the role: Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, presenting and challenging findings to the management team. Work closely with senior management and directors to help drive the future of the company. Manage a variety of financial matters arising within the business. Collaborate with internal teams to enhance financial processes. Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance. Analyse financial data to identify opportunities for cost reduction. Manage cash flow, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations. Handle postings of journals, accruals, pre-payments, and intercompany transactions. Take responsibility for VAT & HMRC submissions for the Group companies. Gain firsthand experience with CIS and reverse VAT. Manage and support the accounts payable and receivable processes. Supervise credit control and undertake debt chasing when required. Required Skills & Qualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
