Application Support Engineer - Lateral Move Permanent Grade 4 - £33,366 - £40,476 Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review Working 36.5 hours per week Job Overview We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Application Support Engineer to join our dynamic Applications team at Birmingham City Council. As an Application Support Engineer, you'll be responsible for the upkeep and support of various software applications and systems. You'll work closely with our technical teams and end-users to guarantee the smooth running of our products and offer effective solutions to customer issues promptly. The ideal candidate should be an attentive, user-centric, and self-driven individual capable of providing functional and technical support and guidance to end-users and internal teams. They should also be able to collaborate and work systematically with other stakeholders to ensure optimal implementation, performance, and support of a variety of solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. What we are about As an Application Support Engineer, you will have the dual responsibility of supporting the current application portfolio and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to implement advanced solutions that fulfil business requirements. What you will do Provide functional and technical support for applications, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, support and maintenance. Collaborate with technical, product and delivery teams to support the efficient implementation of new solutions Identify and analyse application issues and provide solutions to customer issue and improve reliability Communicate with customers to provide updates on issues and resolutions.
