We are an expanding supported living business in Taunton dedicated to providing person-centred care and support to adults with complex needs. As we continue to grow, we are seeking compassionate and committed Support Workers to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients.
Role Overview:
As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored care and support to adults with complex needs, including those with learning disabilities and mild mental health conditions. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, supporting clients in achieving their personal goals, and promoting their independence while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide person-centred care, including assistance with personal hygiene, mobility, and medication management.
* Support clients in daily living tasks such as basic meal preparation, housekeeping, and managing appointments.
* Assist clients in participating in social, educational, and recreational activities, both within the home and in the community.
* Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
* Monitor clients’ health and well-being, reporting any concerns or changes to the appropriate team members.
* Build positive, trusting relationships with clients, respecting their dignity and promoting their autonomy.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.

* - Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday & Saturday, Sunday.
* - Week 2 - Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. The shifts are 9am-9pm for days, and 9pm-9am for nights.

Requirements:
* Experience in supporting adults with complex needs is desirable, though not essential as full training will be provided.
* A compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature, with a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for others.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and overnight as required.
* A valid driver’s license is preferred but not essential.
