Job Title: CNC Setter Operator (Milling)
Shift: Dayshift (08:00 am - 17:00 Mon/Thu; 08:00 am - 01:00 pm Fri)
Main Purpose and Scope of Job
The CNC Setter Operator is responsible for ensuring all products are handled, milled, and identified in accordance with working practices and procedures, ensuring adherence to customer requirements in a safe manner. Key responsibilities include:
1. Accurate setting, cutting, and identification of materials to maximize stock utilization and minimize scrap or damage to both customer products and stock.
2. Maintenance and accurate recording of all details on the computer-based stock control system and all other supporting documentation.
3. Promoting continuous improvement processes to maximize stock productivity and minimize waste in all operational processes.
4. Maintaining and promoting safe working practices and policies while engaged in daily tasks.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Ability to read and understand a cutting pattern to maximize stock utilization and minimize waste.
2. Ability to be trained and understand being a business-approved stamp holder.
3. PC literate.
4. Self-motivated, reliable, diligent, analytical, and numerate.
5. Current valid counterbalance mechanical handling license.
6. Machine maintenance skills applicable to the type of equipment operated.
