Job Overview
Health Care Support Worker vacancies (1 full time, 37.5 hrs per week) have arisen within the Older Adult Mental Health Inpatient Services at Annwylfan Ward, Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr, Ystrad Mynach, Caerphilly.
Shift patterns are working 7 days a week on a shift pattern of 12hr long day and 12hr night shifts. However, flexible working patterns may be considered.
Main Duties of the Job
Annwylfan is a 16-bedded Older Adult Mental Health Dementia Assessment ward in Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr. You will need to demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, carers, and other professionals. You must be an excellent team player, have high levels of motivation, and enthusiasm for working in a demanding but rewarding service. You will be joining a team that is passionate and focused on achieving excellence in care delivery for this challenging and rewarding patient group.
The successful candidate must be able to work flexibly to meet the rotational shift patterns to cover a 24-hour period. You should have an interest in older adult inpatient care and enjoy working in a busy, challenging environment.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
