About the role Key details: Working week: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm, 32.5 hours per week, Term-time only Wage: £6.40 per hour Location: Off the Priors, Mitchel Road, Bedworth, Coventry, CV12 9HP Apprenticeship Standard: Level 3 School Administrator Duration: 16 months Overview of the role: The trust is looking to appoint an inspirational and highly effective Business and Admin Apprentice who is committed to supporting St Michael’s to educational excellence and further developing the distinctive Christian character of educational provision and the school community. Key Responsibilities: General Duties Provide reception and administrative support, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Handle visitor management, telephone enquiries, and incoming/outgoing post. Maintain accurate records, including pupil and staff data, attendance, and admissions. Assist with document preparation, filing, and distributing materials within the school. Manage office supplies and alert colleagues when reordering is needed. Financial & Record-Keeping: Undertake routine financial administration, including cash handling and invoice processing. Maintain financial records for school meals and other transactions. Support statutory returns and data management tasks. Other Responsibilities: Assist with school visits and pupil welfare, liaising with parents when needed. Provide clerking support for Governing Body meetings. The role may involve working independently or as part of a team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services. Business administrators develop key skills and behaviours to support their own progression towards management responsibilities. Milestone 1. The Organisation - (Aims, Values, Policy) Milestone 2.
