ABC Teachers are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil in Year 1 at a reputable primary school in Handsworth. This is a full time position that is due to start as soon as possible on an ongoing basis. The school require someone who has excellent communication skills and experience of working with pupils on a 1:1 basis. The suitable candidate will also have the ability to work on own initiative, as well as being a good team player and demonstrate the knowledge of a range of strategies to engage and enhance learning. You will need to be a motivated, passionate and caring individual who is willing to work hard and be committed to providing outstanding support in order to meet the needs of pupil and achieve high standards. Previous experience working with pupils with SEN would be advantageous. To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will: Ideally have a Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning but this is not compulsory if you have relevant experience as a Primary Teaching Assistant Have experience with primary age children in a school environment Be able to provide details for 2 professional references Have a DBS registered to the update service or be willing for us to process a new one Requirements: ABC Teachers is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.
