Salary up to £70,000 DOE
Are you a clinician with a passion for internal medicine looking for a role where your expertise is truly valued? At Alma Veterinary Hospital in Windsor, we're seeking a vet who loves internal medicine cases to join our team.
In this role, you'll lead our internal medicine cases and cover all aspects of first-opinion practice with minimal basic surgery (or more if you also have a surgical interest). Our full-time position offers a 4-day workweek with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings. For those seeking flexibility, we're happy to discuss part-time options. Additionally, the role includes approximately one on-call shift per week to care for our hospitalised inpatients. We are keen to speak with candidates who either hold or are working towards a certificate in medicine/advanced practitioner status.
What we're looking for:
1. A passionate and skilled vet with a medicine certificate.
2. Someone with a real love for medical care, and a genuine interest in diagnostics and treatment.
3. Experience performing abdominal ultrasounds (preferred) and assisting with endoscopy (a plus).
4. A strong ability to problem-solve and apply your expertise to tackle complex cases.
5. Someone who is proactive, communicative, and compassionate with both patients and the team.
6. A desire to stay up-to-date with the latest medical practices and contribute to a culture of learning.
7. Someone who enjoys working in an environment where their contributions truly matter.
What we offer:
1. High-level 20 min consults focused on patient care, with minimal surgery.
2. A supportive and friendly team that genuinely enjoys working together.
3. Access to continuous professional development and the latest advancements in veterinary medicine.
4. The chance to lead the medical knowledge in the practice and guide your colleagues.
5. Opportunity to work alongside other certificate holders, sharing knowledge and expertise.
6. Access to in-house ultrasound, direct digital X-rays, scopes, and lab.
7. Separate dog and cat wards to ensure patient comfort and safety.
8. The ability to keep in-patients in-house for better monitoring and care.
9. A 4-day rota, plus 1 weekend in 3 and 1 on-call shift for in-patients only, providing a great work-life balance.
