This role involves both hands-on project delivery and operational support across a 24/7 supply chain environment, collaborating closely with the wider technology teams and working across multi-site locations in UK, using technical and service delivery knowledge to deliver IT solution-based services. The purpose of this role is to lead significant number of IT Infrastructure Projects, leveraging expertise in ITIL-based services, datacentre operations, hardware, and network management. This role is required to provide support on daily and on-rota critical support for major incidents, coordinating with 3rd party service providers to ensure timely and effective resolution. Service Implementation: Assist in the design, implementation, and integration of IT services and systems for new and existing business units, overseeing the process from initial documentation to installation, training, and post-installation review. Incident Management Support: Play an integral role in the Major Incident Management Team, providing co-ordination and leadership during major incidents that require close collaboration between internal teams and external infrastructure 3rd party partners. Managed Service Provider Liaison: Collaborate with Managed Service providers to ensure optimal performance and adherence to Service Levels Agreements, driving continuous improvement in processes and outcomes for end user. Problem, Change, and Incident Management: Actively engage in managing and resolving incidents and driving continuous improvements in problem and change management. Support Architecture Services: Work closely with the Architecture Services team to resolve incidents and ensure successful project rollouts, with providing technical expertise where needed. Who you are: Your skills and experience will include: Minimum of 3 years of experience leading IT infrastructure projects, with a demonstrated track record of success in managing servers, networks, and end-user technologies. Desirable technical knowledge of IT network systems including firewalls, load balancers, Azure, and Active Directory, with at least 3 years of hands-on infrastructure support experience. Demonstrate a proactive, solution-focused mindset with the ability to take initiative and handle challenges independently. Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail. Strong data analysis. Ability to apply technical knowledge combined with pragmatism. Flexibility to travel when required. Certification in ITIL practices desirable, but not essential. Why Gist?
