To undertake programmes of work that support service change, strategic planning functions, health improvement and the business Midlothian Integration Joint Board and Midlothian Health & Social Care Partnership.
To support the Performance and Improvement Lead Officer, the Performance and Improvement Programme Manager and the Integration Manager and other senior managers in the development and implementation of the Midlothian Integration Joint Board strategic aims and Midlothian Health and Social Care Partnership key priorities.
To prepare draft reports as required, suitable for specific purposes (e.g. Midlothian Integration Joint Board (IJB), the Strategic Planning Group (SPG), the Audit and Risk Committee, and Midlothian Health and Social Care Partnership Senior Management Team (SMT)
To contribute to the development of strategies and design of services, involving operational management, health and social care professionals, people who experience our services their families and carers, NHS Lothian, Midlothian Council, the Community Planning Partnership, and the Third and Independent and sectors.
Keep abreast of national policy and guidance changes in relation to the role of Integration Authorities and propose relevant changes to policy in response. This may include informing and influencing the policies of partner agencies and organisations in their approach to health and social care issues.
To provide support the public involvement agenda across Midlothian health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP), enabling people who experience our services and the public to influence health local social care strategy in support of local and national health and social care policy.
Responsible for the development and delivery of training and/or development to key stakeholders across Midlothian Health and Social Care Partnership, and partner organisations
To support the development of Midlothian Integration Joint Board (IJB) Directions, and coordinate the annual and biannual reporting on Directions.
To support the development of Midlothian Health and Social Care Partnership Service Plans, and if appropriate collect information on performance utilising outcome mapping tools for bi-monthly reporting and identifying the impact of services contribution to achieving the strategic proprieties of Midlothian Integration Joint Board (IJB). To manage programme budgets as appropriate held within Midlothian Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP), providing early notice of variance, and ensuring contracts and SLAs are followed in place in line with NHS Lothian Standing Financial Instructions.
Participate in audits and surveys relating to strategic development, measurement, and evaluation, and undertake research as necessary.To provide written and oral responses to complaints received by NHS Lothian from the public or their elected representatives e.g. Councillors, MSPs, MPs and responding by outlining the strategic position of Midlothian Integration Joint Board (IJB), Midlothian Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) NHS Lothian, and Midlothian Council.
The postholder will be based at Fairfield House, Dalkeith approximately 40% and remote working 60%.)
