The Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic Geography teacher who is passionate about working with students with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have experience of managing challenging behaviour and a strong understanding of Autism. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated Geography lessons that inspire and motivate students, helping them to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons tailored to the needs of students with Autism and challenging behaviour. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the learning and development of all students. Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment. Work collaboratively with other staff members, including SEN specialists, to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students. Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and other stakeholders. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEN education. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching Geography, preferably within an SEN setting. Strong understanding of Autism and strategies for managing challenging behaviour. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
