Cheffins is seeking a versatile IT Support Technician to work alongside the IT Manager. This is a newly created role that would suit a tech-savvy pro-active individual. Someone who has experience of providing IT support within a business and who has a real passion for IT and is looking to further develop their career.
This position is Full-time Monday to Friday.

What will you be doing?
* Acting as a point of contact for daily IT enquiries, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting colleagues with all levels of IT related queries.
* Provide internal first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems for colleagues. Liaising with third party providers where necessary.
* Assist with the management and maintenance of servers, networks, and general IT infrastructure. Ensure system security and data integrity.
* Install, configure, and update software applications. Assist with software licensing and compliance.
* Monitor and maintain network performance. Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and ensure network security.
* Train staff on new technologies and best practices both formally and informally.
* Assist in IT Projects, system upgrades and new technology deployments.
* Maintain our inventory of IT assets. Ensure proper disposal of obsolete equipment in accordance with WEEE regulation.
* Identify opportunities for improvement but also take the lead in implementing efficient solutions.
* Active role in making changes and updates to the Firms website and intranet.
* Setting up IT equipment for Auctions, to enable online bidding platforms to operate effectively.
What will it take to be successful?
* A minimum of 12-months experience in IT Support.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred but not essential.
* Must be proficient in Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Office 365, SharePoint.
* Excellent understanding and experience of PC Set ups and installations.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with staff at all levels.
* They will be self-motivated, calm under pressure, capable of working independently, and eager to drive projects forward.
* Candidate must have a full UK driving licence and car insured for business use, as the role will require infrequent visits to our branch offices.
