Job Description:
Geography Teacher

3. Teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4
4. Leicester-based Secondary School
We are working in partnership with an Ofsted ‘Good’ Secondary school in West Leicestershire who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Geography Teacher to start in September. You should have a professional manner and a flexible attitude to working and timetable changes. Most importantly, you should be enthusiastic, engaging, and passionate about working with young people. To be successful, you will be a Qualified Teacher (ECT's welcome to apply) and have recent experience of teaching Geography across Key Stage 3 and 4.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Delivering engaging Geography lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
2. Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
3. Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
4. Contributing to the development of the department’s curriculum.
5. Participating in extracurricular activities such as sports clubs and school trips.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT's welcome to apply.
2. Bachelor's degree in Geography or related field.
3. Recent experience teaching Geography at secondary school level.
4. Strong behaviour/classroom management.
5. The ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members.
