We're looking for someone to join us on an 18 month contract to play a pivotal leadership role in our Internal Audit team and provide critical independent assurance for large and complex Technology change at an exciting time, both for the Society and the function as we continue to embed our purpose and deliver business growth.
Reporting into the Chief Internal Auditor, this role presents a unique opportunity for someone to work alongside our Technology team on our Core Platform replacement programme, a significant multi-year project. With responsibility for setting the internal audit assurance approach for this change, you will lead on the delivery of the plan shadowing the Core programme and drawing on your technical expertise and credibility to offer constructive and live challenge to support the business to establish and manage the risks and keep the Society safe at all times. You will articulate your findings and prepare outcomes to share with Exec Transformation and Audit committees.

What you'll bring to the role?
* You'll be a strategic leader who isn't afraid to think differently. You will have an in-depth knowledge of IT change and an impactful track record of the design and delivery of assurance programmes for large scale projects, ideally within Financial Services.
* You will be a trusted, credible partner who is used to operating at a Senior Leadership level, with an ability to influence and effectively contribute, with outstanding stakeholder management skills.
* You will have significant technical capability with advanced assurance skills, including planning, delivery and reporting and knowledge of internal audit methodology.
* We are looking for a strong, visible people leader, with great relationship skills, who can inspire, coach and promote positive engagement by role modelling the right behaviours.
