GSL Education London Branch is looking for a passionate and organised Attendance/Admissions Officer to join a co-educational comprehensive secondary school and sixth form in Tower Hamlets. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to support student attendance and admissions, ensuring a smooth and efficient process within the school.
If you have at least one year of school-based experience in Attendance/Admissions and are confident using SIMS software, we would love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
As an Attendance/Admissions Officer, you will:
* Monitor and maintain student attendance records using SIMS software.
* Follow up on absences, contacting parents and carers where necessary.
* Oversee the admissions process, managing applications and enrolments.
* Prepare attendance and admissions reports for senior leadership.
* Work closely with the safeguarding team to identify attendance-related concerns.
* Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies.
* Ensure compliance with school policies and legal requirements regarding attendance and admissions.
What We’re Looking For:
To be successful in this Attendance/Admissions Officer role, you must have:
* At least one year of school-based experience in Attendance/Admissions.
* Strong knowledge and experience using SIMS software.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced school environment.
