Linux Kernel Engineers, we know you're out there somewhere! And we need you! Our client, who works within the broadcast space, is urgently requiring expert Kernel engineers to work within a Bootloader team. The client is based in North-West London.
The client is a well-recognized brand within the UK and Europe and is building their next generation of products. They require expert engineers to assist in several aspects of the bootloader. Preferably, you’ll be an engineer with experience in Network protocols, Wi-Fi, and RTOS.
You will be designing, developing, and integrating alongside testing the bootloader and Linux applications on ARM boards. You will participate in code reviews and work on the overall software quality. You’ll also be working alongside the hardware team!
Experience Required:
1. Strong C programming experience
2. Strong software design skills with analytical problem-solving abilities
3. Knowledge of GNU development and debugging tools
4. Knowledge of ARM Microprocessor architecture
5. Knowledge of TCP/IP, Sockets Programming, IPV6, IPV4, SLACC, DHCP V6
6. Knowledge and work experience with tools like Wireshark to debug network issues
7. Knowledge of Yocto build system and work experience in creating recipes, packages, and Linux kernel patching
8. Knowledge of networking protocols and working experience of HTTP and HTTPS applications
9. Working knowledge of Wi-Fi driver integration and application
10. Knowledge of U-Boot and Linux driver porting on ARM boards
Bonus:
Some experience with Shell & Python scripting is desirable.
