This role is Inside IR35.
Clearance: DV preferred/Will accept SC – however must be willing/eligible for DV – will need to undergo DV prior to starting.
Contract Length: 18 months
Location: Aldermaston, onsite.
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
1. A suitable amount of experience in operating in the build environment, with a proven track record in successfully planning, managing, and monitoring construction work.
2. Hold an industry standard, construction/build environment qualification (e.g.: NVQ Level 6, ONC, HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent), aligned to their discipline/specialism.
3. Demonstrate an exceptional level of awareness and understanding in construction environment, safety and health regulations and legislation.
4. Hold a Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS), or National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) Construction accreditation, or a suitable equivalent.
5. Hold an appropriate industry recognised safety scheme card (i.e.: a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Manager’s card, Client Contractor National Safety Group (CCNSG) Safety Passport card or a suitable equivalent.
6. Experience in constructions – building rather than civil would be preferable.
7. Knowledge of asbestos regulations, risk registers, and Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations.
Key Accountabilities:
1. The safety of all staff within the construction site together with the Principal Construction Manager (PCM) and other Package Integration Managers (PIM).
2. Visible commitment to safety improvement programmes and follows up accidents and injuries.
3. Assist in the creation and maintain a culture of zero accidents or incidents relating to occupational and personal safety, security, health issues, and environmental matters.
4. Communicating to employees and contractors the importance of meeting customer requirements, including references to statutory and internal regulatory procedures.
5. Assist PCM in Construction Design Management (CDM) compliance.
6. Review, comment and respond to contractor programmes.
7. Coordinate the integration of contractor programmes.
