A full-time opportunity available for a creative, active, and fun SEN Nanny / PA to assist an intelligent, sociable 11-year-old girl with a great sense of humour! Salary: GBP36,300.00 Gross per Annum.

Driver Essential? Yes, manual vehicle for use whilst on duty
Essential: Experience supporting a client with a physical disability, non-smoker/vaper. Female applicants only.
Start Date: Mid-January 2025
Days & Hours: Term-time: Monday to Friday 7.00am - 9.00am, then 3.00pm to 8.00pm. School Holidays: 12-hour shifts (Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 8.00pm), no weekends. 38 hours on average per week.
About this client/child: Penny is 11 years old and has Cerebral Palsy, presenting as hyperkinetic movements and is a wheelchair user. With support, Penny can complete manual transfers and uses Makaton and AAC on her iPad for expressive communication.
Overview of role: The SEN Nanny / PA will provide holistic 1:1 support outside of school hours, assisting Penny with her morning and afterschool routine, including personal care, accessing activities, social engagements, and life admin. The key aspect of the role is to facilitate and promote Penny's independence skills and overall development. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential to implement therapy and support Penny in achieving her set targets and goals. Opportunities to plan activities during school holidays and support Penny on holidays abroad (expenses covered) are included.
Who this job would suit: An excellent full-time role for a female SEN Nanny / PA or an experienced SEN Support Worker who enjoys working 1:1 in a family setting. You must be a proactive communicator and confident driver, as Penny has her own manual vehicle.
