An exciting opportunity exists to serve our Corps (our Churches) throughout the West Dorset area. This role will provide a wide range of administrative support (including financial) to our Corps, to ensure our mission and ministry is able to function in a safe and complaint manner.
The Corps Administrative Support role will work closely with our Corps in Poole, Swanage, Dorchester and Wimborne with some potential travel to Weymouth and Portland to support our team of Officers engaging in mission and ministry. We are offering a flexible working approach to work location to suit the successful candidate and will accept applications for remote working (successful candidate must be able to travel to the West Dorset area to support Corps as required).
To be successful in the post you will embrace being actively involved in bookkeeping and banking, creating, and updating risk assessments, essential health and safety elements, ensuring we are updating safeguarding matters, liaising with our property, HR and finance teams where appropriate and general administrative support;
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
1. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams etc
2. Experience of administration in team settings and organisations
3. Excellent level of English, both written and spoken
4. Ability to prioritise, organise, manage your diary, visits to Corps over a geographical area in West Dorset
5. Must have access to a car for work
6. Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
7. Ability to work on own initiative
8. Excellent communication and ability to work well in relationships with various people
