About the Role: Teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and potentially Key Stage 4, depending on your experience and skills. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities, ensuring that all students are challenged and supported to make progress in mathematics. Create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions, explore mathematical concepts, and develop their understanding. Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys. Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Mathematics curriculum remains relevant, challenging, and engaging for all students. Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to share best practices, support student learning, and contribute to the school's Catholic ethos. Participate in the school's ECT induction program and benefit from mentoring and support from experienced colleagues to develop your teaching practice and grow as a professional. Ideal Candidate: Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification. Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Mathematics, with a strong understanding of the National Curriculum for Mathematics and relevant teaching pedagogies. Demonstrates a passion for teaching mathematics and a commitment to student success, with a genuine desire to inspire and support young people. Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Is confident in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported to achieve their best.
