Membership Coordinator £31,531 pa pro rata plus excellent benefits London WC1 and home-based 35 hours per week, full-time Fixed-term contract for 9 months The Membership Coordinator is an exciting opportunity to ensure that the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health is leading the way in children’s health. The Membership Services Team occupies a pivotal position in the running of the College. It is the first port of call for all members who are requiring assistance or information, and it is also a central point of reference for numerous departments across all Divisions. It is a busy, outward-facing responsive team whose activities and outputs are responsible for delivering well over 33% of all income, and which looks after the records of over 22,000 members worldwide. Reporting to the Membership Operations Manager, you will drive the continuous improvement to our members. You will work closely with colleagues to develop and monitor trends in membership and ensure we are delivering an outstanding membership experience. You will provide effective and efficient administration of membership functions as well as providing excellent customer service to members. This role may require some travel across the UK to assist at membership events. This is an exciting time to be part of the RCPCH Membership Services Team as we implement new initiatives to improve member experience, attract new members across the world and explore new services and benefits for our members. You will work closely with members and several divisions across the College to ensure our processes and practices are enabling us to deliver a prompt service and that they are well implemented. This is a high-impact role at the College calling for an individual with strong administrative skills, able to deal financial data, you will need demonstrable experience of membership services within a global environment. The Membership, Policy and External Affairs Division actively promotes the membership, stakeholders and the public awareness of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) and core child health priorities. The RCPCH sets and maintains standards for the education and training of all doctors working in paediatrics and child health in the UK. We advocate on child health issues at home and internationally. Additionally, through a variety of activities, the College influences the quality of medical practice for children in hospital and in the community. The RCPCH has more than 23,000 members and fellows and employs around 200 staff, most of whom work in our London office in Holborn.
