ABOUT THE ROLE
The role:
1. Primarily providing support within the Estimating Department and the pricing of tenders.
Duties
2. Responsible for supporting the estimating team.
3. Responsible for preparing and issuing package enquiries, to subcontractors
4. Analysing quotations from subcontractors,
5. Updating and monitoring a Tender event schedule
6. Attending package workshops, and internal team meetings
7. Inputting, monitoring and updating the package analysis information from package comparisons
8. Preparation of tenders
9. Attending and presenting at tender adjudications
10. The ideal candidate will have:
11. Excellent analytical and numerical skills
12. Strong communication and interpersonal skills including presentation
13. Effective written communication and report-writing ability
14. A sense of ethical responsibility
15. A good working knowledge of MS Excel and the ability to learn how to use specialist software
16. Teamworking skills
17. Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
18. Good risk management identification and mitigation experience
19. Always looking to develop and improve the way in which the tasks can be completed effectively.
20. Taking responsibility for given tasks.
21. Willingness to put maximum effort into the completion of tasks.

As an Assistant Estimator, you can expect to receive a competitive basic salary of up to £40,000.
