This post holder will be the deputy lead for OPD and RDAC within the Clinical Services Division. The post holder will support the Matron in working with clinical and operational leads to support and deliver an efficient and effective service which contributes to the achievement of national and local performance standards.
· Be responsible for all aspects of daily operational management for the OPD and RDAC areas cross site, delivering key performance targets and quality measures (with support from the Matron).
· Provide clinical leadership to the nursing and administrative teams, maintaining credibility through practice and provide a high quality and safe patient service, which exceeds patient expectations.
· Liaise effectively with members of the Multi-Disciplinary health care team so as to achieve a coordinated specialist service across all Trust sites.
· Support the major service improvement and transformation programmes across the Trust.
· Lead and manage the nursing teams within Outpatients and RDAC setting. This will include developing and supporting the nurses, continually reviewing their remit within Advanced Nursing Practice.
· To manage the nursing budget in a cost-effective way, working closely with the Matron, Care Services, Service Manager, Director of Operations, DND and clinical lead to achieve this.
