Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Optical Assistant to join our Basingstoke an Optical Assistant, the successful candidatewill independently run your own clinics by performing diagnostic tests on the patients, providing high quality, easily accessible ophthalmology care in the area. Our diagnostic tests include, 2D and 3D scans of the back of the eye, taking measurements of the eye pressure, checking patients peripheral visions, and checking their visions on the reading charts. The successful candidate will have full training with our clinical team on all aspects of the role.

Independently run pre- and post-operative diagnostic clinicsSupport patients throughout their journey with CHEC and report any concerns.Prepare all areas, and documents prior to your clinicsPre-examination diagnostics, such as Intraocular pressures, OCT scans and visual acuitiesInstilling EyedropsBlood PressuremonitoringTemperature testingBlood glucose MonitoringSupport hospital diagnostic clinics as and when required
