Job Description:
We are looking for a proactive and details-oriented Business Development Co-Ordinator, to work closely with our Head of Business Development as we embed a client-centred business development culture across the firm.
You will support in developing and implementing client engagement strategies, building a strong referral network and ensuring that, through an efficient process-led strategy, we can extract and analyse data that supports our plan for business growth.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Developing and executing a process-led, data-driven business development strategy.
2. Monitoring and reporting on business development metrics.
3. Assisting in the development and execution of business development plans, targeting key practice areas and sectors.
4. Conducting market research and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities.
5. Building and implementing a referral programme, strengthening client relationships and maximising new business opportunities.
6. Managing incoming and outgoing referrals, communicating with clients through phone and email, often being the first point of contact for them within the firm.
7. Managing the diary of the Head of Business Development.
8. Providing effective and efficient administrative support for business development initiatives.
9. Assisting in organising and co-ordinating events, seminars and networking opportunities.
10. Working closely with the marketing team, lawyers, and senior management to align business development efforts with firm-wide objectives.
11. Collaborating with lawyers to identify cross-selling opportunities.
What we’re looking for:
1. Demonstrable experience in relationship management and business development, or a related role, in a law firm or professional services environment.
2. Curiosity to learn more about the firm, our clients and the sectors within which we have expertise.
3. Strong organisational skills including ability to manage and prioritise your own workload.
4. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
5. Proficiency in developing and maintaining efficient processes through which we can record and extract data, including use of Word, Excel spreadsheets and databases.
6. Knowledge of the legal sector, client journey, and regulatory considerations is highly desirable.
Working hours & location:
This is a hybrid role. The successful candidate can be based at any of our offices with occasional travel to Thrings’ offices in Bath, Bristol, Swindon, London, Ross-on-Wye, Lydney, and Romsey.
It’s a full-time position, 35 hours per week. We will consider applications from candidates looking for part-time positions.
