My client has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and versatile Electronic Hardware Engineer with 5-10 years of experience to join a small, multidisciplinary team specialising in the design and development used in a number of applications.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop digital and analogue hardware, as well as systems for various products.
2. Create test specifications and procedures.
3. Provide consultancy services to customers.
4. Support production activities, including training and assisting production staff where needed.
5. Produce documentation related to SI products and services.
6. Offer direct customer support, including site visits when appropriate.
The Candidate
1. Degree educated in an electronic biased field.
2. 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
3. Digital electronic design, including FPGA.
4. Analogue electronic design, especially in high-speed switching circuits and signal integrity.
5. Experience with A/D and D/A converters and supporting circuitry.
6. Proficiency in analogue and digital PCB layout (Altium Designer preferred).
7. Strong understanding of EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility).
8. Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
9. Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
1. Knowledge of image sensors and/or camera systems.
2. Basic understanding of optics.
3. Familiarity with high-voltage circuits.
4. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Salary: The salary offered for this position is £60,000- £75,000 to a candidate who can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
