We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with complex needs, including autism, at our Hindley Green Community Primary School. The main purpose of the Teaching Assistant Level 2 supporting child with Autism role within the QUEST (A Church of England Schools Trust) is to provide high-quality, personalised support to a pupil with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in order to facilitate their learning, development, and inclusion within the school community. This role is crucial in ensuring the pupil's academic, social, and emotional needs are met, enabling them to reach their full potential and thrive in a nurturing, inclusive environment aligned with the Trust's vision and values. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to help the pupil access the curriculum and reach their full potential Implement strategies and interventions to address the pupil's specific learning and behavioural needs Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, adapting activities and resources as required Monitor the pupil's progress and contribute to the assessment of their learning and development Promote the pupil's independence, social skills, and wellbeing through positive interactions and encouragement Work closely with the SENCO, class teacher, and other professionals to ensure a consistent and effective approach Requirements: NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Teaching Assistant or a related field Experience supporting pupils with autism and complex needs Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team Why Choose QUEST?
