The Core & EUC Infrastructure Managers’ role is to maintain and assist in the development of the Bupa Dental Care infrastructure to ensure the robust and stable operation of the organisations IT systems and services through a team of multi-disciplined Core and Security Infrastructure Engineers.
As the Core & EUC Infrastructure Manager, you will be instrumental in driving innovation, ensuring system resilience, and supporting the technology needs of the Bupa Dental Care business unit. You will be responsible for the effective development, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of Core, EUC and Security infrastructure.
You will also adhere to IT standards as defined by the IT Leadership Team and ensure governance of both the Infrastructure Team and the developments to IT systems in line with these standards.
Responsibilities
* Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor a team of senior infrastructure engineers, fostering a collaborative, innovative and high-performance culture, define team goals and monitor performance, conducting regular reviews to ensure objectives are met
* Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Oversee the design, planning, and implementation of new IT solutions to meet evolving business requirements, collaborate with cross-functional teams and across business units to integrate new solutions into existing systems and ensure interoperability
* Core, End-User Compute, and Security Management: Ensure the effective management of core infrastructure components, including IaaS (Microsoft Azure), Hyper-V, Microsoft AD/AAD, GPO, InTune, M365, Windows, BeyondTrust
* Support and Operational Excellence: Ensure high levels of system availability and reliability by implementing effective monitoring, incident management, and problem resolution processes, Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure design, configurations, and standard operating procedures
* Stakeholder Collaboration and Strategic Planning: Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements and align infrastructure projects with company objectives, support budgeting and resource planning activities, ensuring that the infrastructure team has the necessary tools and resources to succeed
* Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, process automation, and technology upgrades, supporting business growth and efficiency
Skills/Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
* 5 years’ experience in infrastructure management or engineering roles across a multi-site organisation with a proven track record in a leadership position or role of authority
* Strong understanding of end user compute solutions, including desktop management, GPO, VDI and mobile device management
* Solid understanding of security practices and frameworks, with experience managing secure infrastructure in regulated environments
* Proficiency with tools and practices for vulnerability management, including patch management and security frameworks/policies
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills across a diverse range of stakeholders towards both tactical and strategic goals
* Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and make informed decisions quickly
* Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
