The Role Our client is looking for a bright and focussed People & Culture Director to help them build a strong and diverse workforce, maintain and evolve their positive culture, as they grow our business rapidly over the next two years. Reporting into the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's people strategy, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, performance management, and leadership development. Your primary objective will be to create a high-performance culture that attracts, develops, and retains top talent, while also promoting a positive work environment that supports the company's goals and values. Responsibilities Implement a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with the company's vision and goals, and a fast-paced, venture-backed scaleup. Oversee the management and professional development of our People & Culture Manager, who reports to you. Opportunity to lead, design and deliver people and culture strategies to support rapid expansion. Develop innovative HR People initiatives, ensuring compliance with employment law and regulations to develop and implement company policies and procedures for best practice to thrive and grow. Provide a commercial focused mindset to advise and translate business needs into HR requirements. Partner with the executive team to identify the skills and competencies needed to drive business growth and success. As a trusted advisor, collaborate with various stakeholders to absorb multiple perspectives to promote vision, action, and strategic growth. Nurture a high-performance culture as our client scales. Foster a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued and thrive. Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on people-related issues. Project manage operational HR programmes and provide detailed commercial advice. Work with our in-house recruiter to ensure we attract and retain top talent. Build on our existing employee engagement program that fosters a positive work environment, enhances employee satisfaction, and promotes our company culture. Design and execute a comprehensive performance management process that includes goal setting, regular feedback, and professional development plans. Develop and implement a leadership development and training programmes that build strong leaders and talent density at all levels of the organization. Contribute more widely to our thought leadership and regular speak at events & webinars. The Candidate CIPD Level 7 Experience as an HR Manager/People leader. Working knowledge of HR best practices, UK labour laws and regulations In-depth experience developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that align with organisational goals. Experience in a fast-paced high-growth environment Possess a solution focused and customer centric mind-set. Excellent communication and leadership skills to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. An influencer with strong business acumen and ability to think strategically. Comfortable navigating changing challenging requirements. Passion for creating a positive and inclusive work environment. Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to make informed decisions. Previous experience working in a scale-up advantageous. Be a team player willing to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in. The Terms This exceptional role is being offered on a part time and hybrid basis. 3 to 4 days per week with one or two being office based in our client's Milton Keynes offices. A salary of up to £80K FTE is available along with benefits and a generous share options offering.
