Risk and Governance Manager

A bit about the job:
The Aviva Customer & Marketing (C&M) function has an overall strategic objective of crafting new value by deepening our customer relationships through the creation of industry-leading marketing, data and digital capabilities and customer journeys.
The purpose of this role is to support the Head of C&M Governance & Assurance and wider C&M Senior Leadership Team in creating a strong risk culture to deliver their risk management obligations in line with the Risk Management Framework to protect our customers, deliver our risk goals and achieve our strategic objectives.
You will be responsible for facilitating risk-related activities such as monitoring and reporting on our risk scorecard, training, emerging risk assessments, risk & control self-assessments (RCSAs), quality assurance monitoring of our operational risk records; as well as C&M risk analysis, reporting & escalation to the C&M Senior Leadership team and second line Risk.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* Understanding of operational risk frameworks and proven experience of risk management, governance, and compliance within the Financial Services industry, preferably in insurance.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, persuasive and comfortable in challenging situations with high levels of energy, passion, and resilience.
* Excellent report writing skills, demonstrating accuracy, attention to detail, and a diligent approach to work.
* Self-starter and disciplined with proactive planning and organisational skills, able to multi-task, respond flexibly to changing priorities, and meet deadlines.
* Comfortable making decisions and working both autonomously and as part of a team.
What you’ll get for this role:
* Salary: circa £58,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
* Bonus opportunity - 10% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
