Fundraising:
- Design and lead fundraising strategy and integrate with communications strategy.
- Maintain diverse grants fundraising portfolio and actively explore new trust and foundation opportunities. Research, identify and target suitable funders – including multiyear grant opportunities.
- Steward funder relationships and ensure regular, personalised communications and updates on the impact of support.
- Develop compelling applications for continuation funding and new projects.
- Identify, research and develop contacts to build warm leads for funding. Pitch to organisations in person where required.
- Build from early plans and initial successes to develop corporate funding income streams.
- Manage fundraising customer relationship management (CRM) system (AirTable) and maintain accurate record keeping.
- Prioritise limited resources and balance research and investigation of new prospect opportunities alongside existing/repeat supporter retention and growth.
- Collaborate with Data Analyst and Fundraising and Communications Assistant to collect bank of statistics, outcomes, case studies and testimonials.
- Communicate high level fundraising developments. Provide regular updates to SMT and Trustees on opportunities and challenges.
- Actively contribute to business planning and service delivery development. Scan for suitable funding opportunities to match organisational priorities.
- Motivate colleague connection with the organisation’s fundraising goals and objectives, and support clinical colleague involvement in funder visits (including to partnership schools), feedback collection, reference sourcing, service delivery innovations, etc.
Communications:
- Design and lead communications strategy and integrate with fundraising strategy.
- Plan and deliver campaigns to increase brand awareness within target audience segments.
- Oversee communications across multiple channels, including website, newsletter, blog, social media platforms, as well as conferences, events, and other in-person promotional opportunities.
- Develop audience-led communications content with consistent voice and convey key messages in line with organisation values and mission.
- Conceptualise and brief high quality, professional marketing materials.
- Plan, oversee, and publish rich and varied monthly blog content and termly newsletter content.
- Motivate input from clinical colleagues for rich and expert content. Provide support, editing, and proofreading to ensure excellent written quality.
- Communicate effectively with SMT and internal colleagues around communications developments, challenges, and opportunities.
Leadership & Management
- Support and line manage Fundraising and Communications Assistant, offering advice, help and guidance as necessary, and organise regular line management meetings, objectives and development plans, as well as annual appraisals.
- Support and oversee Fundraising and Communications Assistant workload. Enable them to drive forward:
- Social media activity and calendar, website updates, image research (blogs and newsletters), termly newsletter content formatting, delegated fundraising activities.
- Fundraising activities such as writing proposals, thank you letters, prospect research.
- Collaborate with Evaluation and Monitoring Data Analyst for timely impact reporting to funders, including for annual impact report publication (end of academic year) and annual accounts (financial year) report publication.
- Alongside Operations and Finance Manager, co-lead Professional Support Team (PST), including shared responsibilities for planning and chairing termly meetings, and proactive team development responsibilities to sustain motivated, engaged and effective teamwork.
- Co-ordinate with the PST to contribute to office support rota for clinical colleagues and phone/office cover.
- Manage colleague involvement on a project basis for fundraising, communications, and business development work.
- Develop policies and resources around the organisation’s fundraising and communications activities.
- Be a passionate advocate and representative of the organisation to all internal and external stakeholders.
General:
- Ensure effective and safe personal practice
- Participate in relevant internal and external trainings
- Establish and maintain professional working relationships with staff of the Bridge Foundation.
- Other tasks as directed by the CEO.
