Would you like to develop the world's fastest imaging systems? Using state-of-the-art sensors interfacing with high-speed FPGAs, these products capture millions of frames per second. This is a small, very successful company developing high-value, low-volume products primarily for research establishments across the world. This position will suit an experienced FPGA or Electronic Design Engineer with a knack for innovation (they have won a number of awards) and over 10 years of broad experience. You will lead the design and development of cutting-edge electronic hardware and systems, taking them from concept to manufacturing. The main hands-on element of this job is FPGA firmware, but as you will be leading others once up to speed, a broad understanding of other areas such as digital board design and analog is required to work on architectural design and systems-level specification. Any experience in imaging, sensors, and physics will be particularly useful. FPGA Engineer / Hardware Team Lead essential skills: FPGA firmware (Xilinx preferred) Solid analog & digital understanding PCB layout Design for EMC FPGA Engineer / Hardware Team Lead useful skills: Imaging, Cameras, or Optics High voltage circuits Proficiency in interpreting mechanical drawings Physics If you're ready to take on this challenging yet rewarding role in a vibrant work environment, please submit your application, including your CV, to Jamie Harris.
