This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, passionate individual to join the existing ESG team and obtain experience in a rapidly growing organisation contributing to the UK energy transition.
The role primarily focuses on the preparation and dissemination of ESG reports for the public and private renewables funds under management, in line with the relevant regulatory deadlines. Responsibilities include interim and annual ESG reporting; regulatory disclosures (including the EU SFDR and UK SDR, once in effect); and reporting against frameworks such as the TCFD and PRI. Working alongside the existing ESG Analyst, the role will examine ESG data collected across the Bluefield Group companies and key service providers, support delivery of the UK fund’s ESG strategy, and other ESG initiatives across the Group.
Main Duties
* Lead on ESG reporting including the preparation, review, and dissemination of interim/annual sustainability reports, regulatory and framework disclosures.
* Develop systems to facilitate the reporting process and ensure timely delivery of reports in line with relevant deadlines.
* Undertake horizon scanning to identify emerging ESG frameworks; keep well informed of regulatory changes; assess best practice standards; & review peer disclosures.
* Perform gap analysis assessments to determine alignment with ESG frameworks.
* Support with ESG assurance activities.
* Support the existing ESG Analyst with ESG data collection, including identifying and implementing continuous improvements to the data collection and reporting processes to drive accuracy and efficiency.
* Build strong relationships with teams across the Bluefield companies, to support the delivery and improvement of ESG practices.
* Identify opportunities for ESG value creation and communicate these with the ESG team.
* Support the ESG team on engaging and informing stakeholders on ESG and its importance within investment activity.
* Support the creation of an inclusive, positive, and supportive team environment.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject or equivalent qualification by experience.
* At least 1 year’s experience in an ESG/sustainability role, preferably within the investment sector.
* Understanding of ESG & its strategic importance within investment activity.
* Experience reporting against ESG frameworks and regulation including the PRI, Sustainable Development Goals, SFDR, EU Taxonomy and TCFD.
* Excellent writing and communication skills.
* An analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
* Strong project management skills and ability to respond to tight deadlines.
